Ultimate Attenuator amp re-bias?

Postby Kossfinger on Tue Jun 07, 2016 2:12 pm

I'm just getting started with this ultimate attenuator.
It has a 100v power plug, as a variac styled option.
Is a re-bias of the amp necessary when using this option, because of the voltage change?
I don't want to learn the hard way...

Thanks,

Gary

Nevermind...
Experiment failure. Output tubes toasted within 3 minutes of use.
It did sound like a decent unit.
It's just too risky. I'm not into sacrificing good amps.
