BTW, the EL34M, thats the New Sensor made Mullard marketed by Groove Tubes isnt it?

The 34M is marketed by Groove Tubes but it isn't the New Sensor "Mullard".

No problem. Since doing that shootout, Vic got some Shugang EL34B's and put them in the Scorpion for a test drive a couple of days ago. When I did my original testing for this review, we would trade off playing. I would play my Les Paul, and then Vic would play through his old Baker B1. So his ears were also involved in the testing. So based on what he heard of the JJ KT77 and GT EL34M........he thinks the Shugangs are brighter than both the JJ and the GT. He didn't go into detail, but he still likes the GT the best through the Scorpion. But in another type of amp, the Shugang might be the better sounding tube. The next time I'm out there, I'll try the Shugangs and see what I think about them. I'll also bring my 68 100w super lead and see which tubes sound the best in that amp. I'll need to get two more GT's though.
